• Approximately 125-morning skates
• Approximately 125 on-ice sessions with our instructors
• Approximately 125 gym sessions with our off-ice trainers
• Access to secure locker rooms and showers
• Billeting can be made available when necessary

A typical day at The Philadelphia Hockey Academy will include the following:

• Up to 5 hours of school work, broken up into 1 to 3-hour sessions through CCA with our on-site learning coaches
• Up to 2 hours on the ice over two sessions, with one being self-directed and the other being a lesson with an instructor. Goalies receive 3 on-ice lessons from our goalie coach, weekly
• A 1-hour gym session with a trainer

At the Philadelphia Hockey Academy (PHA), we aim to connect our student-athletes with meaningful service opportunities that help transform their thoughts into action. By getting young people involved with volunteering in their communities early, we hope to inspire lifelong commitments to service and learning.

Goals

• Provide an opportunity for experiential learning to balance online learning
• Build awareness of pressing social issues
• Assess community needs and empower students to be agents of change
• Actively engage in the broader community and partner with local non-profit organizations
• Build academic and personal skills: empathy, problem-solving, writing, research, collaboration, reflection
